From the 17th till the 24th Dec, me and a few friends (shahid, aiman and nik azan) went holidaying in spain, we backpacked our way there and experience a whole new culture and place. (and to get away from the freezing winter too).
1st destination? Barcelona! we took a plane (aerlingus) from cork to barcelona, then a shuttle bus to the city and settled in at our youth hostel, Gothic Point in Barri Gothic (in the city centre, very very strategic).
We then went out to explore n eat. Spain's food are very very cheap! and their night life is awesome. With the christmas lights up, barcelona is indeed a very beautiful city. It is very alive at night, with hundreds of people out in the streets even at 1am..
Doesnt take a while to realise that not many Spaniards speak english.. and at 1st it's hard talking to them in Spanish.. but after a while, u kinda lost your shyness and just "Lantak" jer, main cakap ajer. (plus, sign languages helped a LOT)
